Exact steps:

-Downloaded the android release image at the top of this thread.
-Wrote it to an 8GB SD card with etcher (can use .zip directly) https://etcher.io/
-Followed steps on wiki to install playstore https://tinkerboarding.co.uk/wiki/index....Play_Store
-Took finished SD card out of tinkerboard, and read it to an .img using win32diskimager https://sourceforge.net/projects/win32diskimager/
-Compressed up the .img with zip and uploaded to google drive.
Thanks for the steps, so win32diskimager can use for backup as well!

Ready made image with that and play store installed, just login with your google account:

This is AMAZING, thank you Mikerr: it works like a charm and saves hours of complex terminal coding. You rock! Smile

The image works including Google Play Store. Is there any way to boot from USB as Android on SD-card is unusable slow?

Android performance is currently very sensitive to SD card brand, simply changing card may make it much better, see this thread:

Is it possible to boot from micro-SD and run Android from USB like TinkerOS?

You are just not using the right combination and please use a good power adapter.
