Hi,
I picked up a Tinkerboard (not S) last week and have been fiddling with OS images. Android Nougat runs fine, but the only Linux I've gotten to run is LibreElec's current image. None of the other distributions I've tried (most every Linux on the OS Download thread) even get an HDD activity flicker. They simply don't start.
I'm using a PSU that tests at 5.22V/3.4A, wired to GPIO pins, 2/ea hot & ground. The uSD cards are a Samsung EVO Plus 64GB (Libre) and a SanDisk Ultra 16GB (Android).
My big concern is that Android reports 999MB RAM and LibreElec, after the initial boot, KPs at every boot unless I add "mem=1G" to the APPEND line in extlinux.conf. Of course if I do, the running system reports 1GB.
Has anyone seen this behavior?
PS - I haven't tried a USB/serial dongle. The last machine on which I needed a serial terminal was a VAX, and I reeeeeaaalllly want to leave it at that.
