I've powered this using the GPIO pins, so the micro usb port is free. Can it be used for a data connection? Is there a simple test I can perform to find out?

EDIT: From the schematic, the bq24392 is the charging port, and has OTG capabilities hinted...

Welll, I bought a usb-otg cable and tried plugging in a keyboard, and I tried a flash drive but neither worked.
