Boot loop if not using a proper USB cable

This thread has been most illuminating! I'm running a 20 amp 5VDC supply and my Tinker Board will go into "boot loop", even with an 18 gauge power cord I made. I suspect the super-flimsy micro-USB connector I used is at fault, because a different cable works like a champ. I think it's time to go to the GPIO pins and be done. Thanks!
