I,

I have test and I can read that:

linaro@tinkerboard:~$ sudo emulationstation
emulationstation should not be run as root. If you used 'sudo emulationstation' please run without sudo.
linaro@tinkerboard:~$

Retropie version is made for Debian ,Ubuntu and the installation have run.

Hm, this is odd.
By the way: I am not an expert, it is just a regular user guessing here.

1. Root privileges are required to run the command
2. Giving the command root privileges leads to an error message

So perhaps the Rom is located on the wrong location? Did you put it there or did the software install it there/was it there by default?

Are you able to start any emulater via the GUI?

And finally: What makes you sure that RetroPie runs on Tinker Board? There are separate even Binaries for Raspi 1 and Raspi 2/3.

They literally just updated Retropie yesterday to 4.4 and now it adds basic support for tinkerboard.
