With the last Android version 74, audio would break up when I played any video clip. Has this been fixed ?

Note the image with play store isn't provided by Asus.

I personally made that unofficial image by adding play store to Asus's Android release:

For anyone wondering why this is important:

You, as a company, cannot legally distribute a copy of Android that has Google Play Services enabled unless you have permission from Google. This requires LARGE amounts of money and time, as well as passing the Compatibility Test Suite (CTS) that they provide with firmware. This is a very difficult process and is not worth it for most companies that are not focusing on that as their main selling point.

An individual, on the other hand, is not distributing the image from a company standpoint and therefore it is okay. If you compile the source code yourself, there are flags in device/rockchip/common/BoardConfig.mk that will enable playstore (See the block under the comment "# google apps".

Hope this makes it clear why ASUS will not release one with play store. You all are lucky the devs are good to the community and release one with google play at all Smile

100% yes. and it's a very expensive permission if you're not a company with decent amounts of resources (I've heard and seen $10k - $15k).

So I'm going to use aptoide then, the problem is that more and more application depends on the GSM, especially that I wanted to start with 10 copies lol ^^ '' while Google takes seriously from 1 million after the site

Please advice if source in https://github.com/TinkerBoard/android-6.0.1_kernel.git is updated to this version yet?

At least I can't see any reference here: https://bitbucket.org/TinkerBoard_Androi...roid-6.0.1
