Android Nougat: HDMI-CEC not working right
If the user has an external power button attached to the tinkerboard, and uses it to put the device to sleep multiple times, at some point, the TV will lose the CEC connection to the tinkerboard.

Either the tv won't shut off on button press, or the tv won't turn back depends on how the button was pressed.

I checked Android Marshmallow and it did not have this problem.  It appears only on the Nougat build.

Can you please provide a fix here?
