Messed up and did "apt-get upgrade" and now Chromium profile is messed up.
#1
Hello everyone,

As the title says, I did  apt-get upgrade and my chromium jumped to version 70 (which was crashing on launch) from Chromium version 63. I downgraded it back down to 63, but now every time I launch the browser I get:

"Your profile can not be used because it is from a newer version of Chromium.

Some features may be unavailable. Please specify a different profile directory or use a newer version of Chromium."

I assume it updated to chromium version 70. I've noticed that the browser is just a bit slower. How do I get my chromium profile back to what it was? Should I totally uninstall chromium and then reinstall version 63 and hope that the profile issues don't persist? Is there a workaround?

Thanks!
