I have seen an option to use remote control to shut down or power on the Raspberry 3, here is my option:

According to the pin out compatibility there no problem to use on the thinker board. It's just a piece of hardware which takes the power from the original micro USB plug and power the board on the GPIO pins. Unfortunately there's a bit of loss that a portion of the GPIO pins are occupied.
