L2C: failed to init: -19 CRASH
#1

.txt   out.txt (Size: 177.3 KB / Downloads: 0)
Hi,

I've seen others have seen this.

I do not get messages, the system just crashes.

After reboot I see these lines in red in journalctl -b

These :

Mar 21 17:12:41 tinke kernel: L2C: failed to init: -19
Mar 21 17:12:41 tinke kernel: rockchip_clk_register_branches: unknown clock type 9

Mar 21 17:12:41 tinke kernel: vcc_flash: regulator get failed, ret=-517

Mar 21 17:12:41 tinke kernel: rk-vcodec ff9a0000.vpu-service: could not find power_model node

Mar 21 17:12:41 tinke kernel: mali ffa30000.gpu: Failed to get regulator

Mar 21 17:12:41 tinke kernel: mali ffa30000.gpu: Power control initialization failed

Mar 21 17:12:41 tinke kernel: tinker-mcu: send_cmds: send command failed, ret = -6

Mar 21 17:12:41 tinke kernel: tinker-mcu: tinker_mcu_probe: init_cmd_check failed, -6
Mar 21 17:12:41 tinke kernel: imx219 2-0010: Error -5 setting default controls

Mar 21 17:12:41 tinke kernel: rockchip-sy-mipi-dphy ff770000.syscon:mipi-phy-rx0: invalid resource
Mar 21 17:12:41 tinke kernel: rockchip-vpu ff9a0000.video-codec: can't request region for resource [mem 0xff9a0000-0xff9a07ff]
Mar 21 17:12:41 tinke kernel: rockchip-vpu ff9a0000.video-codec: rockchip_vpu_hw_probe failed
Mar 21 17:12:41 tinke kernel: rockchip_vpu_probe-- with error

There are more later on but is there anything that could give an indication of what is going on.

It has happened a few times now but now more regularly.

The out.txt attachment is the complete journalctl -b output and the other two are screen shots of the 1st and second screen of journalctl

Thanks in advance for any help.

Does anyone else feel this is a crap board regarding OS support ?
I can't believe the number of this kind of problem I have had, many have the same board as I do but no one has had the same problem...

Anyway.. Time to move on from this thing.

Hi,
Thanks for your update.
I try to trace the code and have some findings. Below are some updates

1. for "L2C: failed to init: -19" issue
This error log is output from below
https://github.com/TinkerBoard/debian_ke.../irq.c#L99
and it is caused by the l2x0_of_init function which is return -ENODEV
The reason why it retruns -ENODEV is that it can not find the related node in the Tinker's device tree.
Device tree is different between each H/W. I think the error can be ignore since tinker baord does not have such devices.
Please see the below links for the code flow.
https://github.com/TinkerBoard/debian_ke...x0.c#L1708
https://github.com/TinkerBoard/debian_ke...x0.c#L1687

2. for "rockchip_clk_register_branches: unknown clock type 9" issue
This error log is output from below
https://github.com/TinkerBoard/debian_ke...clk.c#L582
and it is caused by the rockchip_clk_register_ddrclk which is return NULL.
The reason why it returns NULL is that we don't support the trust firmware.
