Different interface names for Huawei modem
Hi all,

I am experiencing a problem with a  Huawei modem.
I have set the udev rules as follows:

ATTRS{idVendor}=="12d1", ATTRS{idProduct}=="15c1", NAME="modem0"

but sometimes happens that when the modem is plugged to the board (via USB), it's named as usb0 and not as modem0.

I strongly suspect this is a driver issue.
Is there any possible easy solution that does not involve kernel modification ?

You might try to write your own udev rule.
Light blue words might be a link. Have you try to click on them? Big Grin
