Unable to get Tinker Board S to do absolutely anything
Hi all,

So I'm trying to install Android on the eMMC partition.

The board won't show as a drive when connected with the supplied USB cable, even in both jumper positions as described in the manual.

Also, when I'm writing the Android file itself onto the SD card, the image writer app tells me the image hasn't got a boot part to write, thus won't boot.

Any ideas?

try to look at this thread.

Basicaly flash SD card with linaro linux latest release. Put the SDcard in thinker board, then put the jumper in right position and then plug the thinker board to PC and it should pop up as SDcard for you and you should be able to flash any kind of system you would like to EMMC directly.

I recommend to use Etcher as flashing tool (If you use windows) but it is up to you Wink
Defect tinkerboard ? I did get one that would not boot at all no mather what I did.

That's pretty normal, if you're using windows. The linux partitions are not seen by window, you might start a live linux image and try out what you'll see.
Light blue words might be a link. Have you try to click on them? Big Grin
