how to update Kodi on tinkerOS debian?
#1
Hello everyone,

I have kodi 17.1 , I would like to update it at least to 18 cuz it has new RKMPP+KMS implementation.

I have tried apt-get upgrade
but still 17.1

so how could I upgrade kodi to newer versions?

thank you

update: maybe I misunderstand something, I thought Kodi 18 has support for gpu acceleration... well, actually I don't know what is RKMPP but I think this even not official thing.
I got confused from this topic: https://forum.armbian.com/topic/7262-rk3...nkerboard/
sice he said : "But the main purpose of including Kodi in the script is to test the new RKMPP+KMS implementation."
so I don't know is kodi 18 has this, or what ?!!

I see kodi as a system per-se. So it is not so much OS dependent. You might running in a VM or docker.
Light blue words might be a link. Have you try to click on them? Big Grin
