kodi on Android with full HW - try
#1
Wink
Edited instructions line 3.

Kodi behaves really well on tinkerboard running the Android. This is probably the best image quality and the most stable platform that I've ever experienced with a SBC or tvbox.
1. Install Tinker Android per Asus support .
2. download JamesLinEngineer's patch for RK3288 Android 6 librkffplayer.so from https://github.com/JamesLinEngineer/RKMC...Android6.0
3. Then run Android and from a computer use the command: adb connect <ip of you tinkerboard>, adb root, adb connect, adb remount,
adb push librkffplayer.so /system/lib/librkmcplayer.so
4. restart android to make sure it still runs :Smile
5. install SuperCeleron's RK dedicated kodi build
FTMC Rockchip Build 26 from
http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-supp...75588-ftmc
6. activate acceleration and RKcodec and voil'a
try it. Having fun.
using LAN btw.

Thumbs Up
Hi Igonjothanx for your FTMC Android guide.

That is true, tinker board works well! [Image: thumbsup.png]

The only issue I have is - no pass-through with AC3/DTS/DTS-HD content.
It has been connected via integrated SPDIF (as attached). Both, coaxial copper and optical running good with PCM, but no success multi-channel sound with any settings combination.

It would be great if somebody will solve this problem.

Amerigo,

Audio Passthrough: please contact ASUS or rebuild the firmware with audio patches from github folder RKMC\xbmc\RKMC-Patches.

Yes, it should work. You must allow the USB debugging on the Tinker board and have adb installed on your host computer.

Flashed the newest Android version. Seems a lot more compatible with my TV used as monitor for FTMC v26 rk version. Runs better than ever.

I can't see any difference to Play store Kodi by using latest Android release...?
