Hostapd - drivers and config
#1
Hi All, could someone post a /etc/hostapd/hostapd.conf file for a working hostapd install where wlan0 has static IPv4. Seems the default driver for Debian 9 stretch "20170417-tinker-board-linaro-stretch-alip-v1.8" Wi-Fi realtek "rtl8723bs" chip does not work when called by hostapd.

"driver initialization failed"

modinfo 8723bs --> filename:       /lib/modules/4.4.16-00006-g4431f98-dirty/kernel/drivers/net/wireless/rockchip_wlan/rtl8723bs/8723bs.ko

Or can someone post a working config for wlan0 of these files:
/etc/network/interfaces
/etc/dnsmasq.conf
/etc/hostapd/hostapd.conf

and results of
lsmod and modinfo

We are busy building a range of solutions and images for Tinkerboard and will post the finished script here for benefit of all.

Thanks in advance.

Smile  Hi All, this has been solved. This will be rolled up in the full free configuration menu released by http://www.iiot.co.za shortly.
