AOSP image Build Error
#1
Hi. I'm an Android developer in Korea.
I'm trying to build AOSP project for TinkerBoard S.
I need customizing OS, so I'm building AOSP project.

My step is ..

->
1. repo sync  finish.
2. kernel build. (Success)
3. u-boot build. (Success)
4. .img build (Failed) -> error occured. TT

After command "make -j28" at <source-root> ("make -j1, -j4 or -j8" is the same result),

my error log is
externel/skia/dm/Android.mk:653: frameworks/base/libs/hwui/hwui_static_deps.mk: No such file or directory
make: *** [build/core/ninja.mk:164: out/build-rk3288.ninja] Error 1

How can I solve this error case?

hi Junseok Kim,

not sure if you have already tried this.. but..

to Fix Error when build: “make: *** [ninja_wrapper] Error 1”
make sure to
Code:
export LC_ALL=C

& check .. with env
Code:
...
LC_ALL=C
...

----------------- ;-]..
hope it helps,
k,

hi...

that is strange...

I just checked  TinkerOS_Android 7 Nougat V14.3.2.82 files from repo @
Code:
repo init -u https://bitbucket.org/TinkerBoard_Android/manifest.git -b sbc/tinkerboard/asus/Android-7.1.2 -m android_20190515_v14.3.2.82.xml

& there is frameworks/base/libs/hwui/hwui_static_deps.mk file....
Code:
root@yoga700-11isk:/home/k247/code/tinkerBoard/aosp/android-7.1.2/frameworks/base/libs/hwui
# ll *.mk
-rw-rw-r-- 1 k247 k247 9.4K Sep 16 02:17 Android.mk
-rw-rw-r-- 1 k247 k247  892 Sep 16 02:17 hwui_static_deps.mk
root@yoga700-11isk:/home/k247/code/tinkerBoard/aosp/android-7.1.2/frameworks/base/libs/hwui

sooooo.... maybe.. path to file is not set correctly...

nano +653 externel/skia/dm/Android.mk
Code:
...
include frameworks/base/libs/hwui/hwui_static_deps.mk
...

maybe change to
Code:
include $(LOCAL_PATH)/../frameworks/base/libs/hwui/hwui_static_deps.mk

-------------------- ;-]..
hope this works,
k,

Thank you for your comment. You are right. I retried to sync AOSP source your address. And I checked the file "hwui_static_deps.mk".
But new problem occured. It is not compiling kernel part, u-boot, and root .img build.
Error code is that

"
...
Makefile:709: Cannot use CONFIG_CC_STACKPROTECTOR_STRONG: -fstack-protector-strong not supported by compiler
   File "./scripts/gcc-wrapper.py", line63
      print "error, forbidden warning:", m.group(2)

SyntaxError: invalid syntax
  CC      scripts/mod/empty.o
  File "./scripts/gcc-wrapper.py", line 63
     print "error, forbidden warning:", m.group(2)
...
"

I'm finding solution continuous, but I haven't found any solution.

What is the problem?

hi...

  just checking...

did you pull the TinkerOS_Android 7 Nougat V14.3.2.82 files with repo..
Code:
repo init -u https://bitbucket.org/TinkerBoard_Android/manifest.git -b sbc/tinkerboard/asus/Android-7.1.2 -m android_20190515_v14.3.2.82.xml
to a new build folder on your system & give it a gooooooood clobber.. ]]]]]....
Code:
make clobber

from... kbungo - Compiling Tinkerboard's Android
Yep, that's super common. I had the same issue after a fresh pull of the source. Just give it a good
Code:
make clobber
and build it again. It'll take a long time, but should be okay this time. I don't fully understand it, but it works.

hope this fix it,

Thumbs Up
Thank you for your detail reply. I solved this problem !
My cause is the version of Python. My environment is installed and used Python 3.0. After changing 2.x ver, I build the AOSP successfully!
