Hi, all.
I'm very new to SBC and I've just started to play with my tinker board.
I've read on ASUS website that the only way to get hw support while decoding 4k video is to use an elusive "RockChip player"... But, as far I can understand, it still doesn't exists up to now. I'm right?

With development image, I did not see much differences compared to kodi. It looks like it is able to HW decode videos but there is huge tearing and stutering. I suppose it is due to poor 2D acceleration. They updated their RGA acceleration 2 weeks ago but I did not evaluate

That RKPLAYER is just a customized qt example to use “DRM display”.
DRM is a api which is needed by smooth 4K playback. Unfortunately, GNU Linux give ity a bad support, so I have to write that stupid player to use raw drm api !
