Nearest you'll currently get as far as pre made images is the ELAR Lubuntu image. 

Mate desktop can be installed over existing distros with some work:

I have a 32GB SD Card and after writing this image to the card, Windows 7 then shows the card as a "64GB" card and the Tinker Board will not boot from it. Am I doing something wrong?

i have tried My tinkerOS image with neflix, sonic pi, scratch, kodi, libreoffice etc preinstalled ..
it is unstable at me. black screen and freeze, and one time it was no more booting. i tried it 2 times.

now, i have installed tinkerOS without plus. that works, hmmm no errors, is stable. but I need RockChip Driver. i do no have 3d accelerator. so i have muggy & lagging window moves...

i read that the driver is closed source and is not available.. what can I do

This is because RK3288 only support OpenGL ES API, but the application (glxgears) used the OpenGL API.
Therefore, it will pop up the error log like above.
In this case, maybe you can use es2gears.

I would like to share with you our image based on Ubuntu 16.04 with implemented ROS. I hope you will enjoy it.

Thanks, Tried it but didn't realise that it was aimed at Robot users. It played videos much smoother than Tinker OS, but no sound. Just about to try Armbian next.
