TinkerOS based image with netflix, sonic pi, scratch, kodi, libreoffice etc preinstalled ... thread
download [1.8GB]
Thanks Mikerr for your updated Tinker OS based image (18.04). My uSD card had failed so I made the mistake of using the ASUS 18.04 image as a basis for my desktop tinkerboard, which proved to be a disaster IMO.

Yours worked well except for the sound over HDMI. Interestingly, sound worked OK with KODI and VLC once I found their respective audio settings and changed the respective audio devices to rockchip. However the frame rate makes VLC too jerky to use IMO.

I could not find out how to change the audio device for SMPlayer which, otherwise, works well. From another thread, the answer is in
sudo tinker-config
Quote:Interfacing Options, audio, force HDMI
in case that is helpful to anyone here.

I now have a fully functioning desktop computer back again.

There's no official Buster image yet, but you can edit the apt-sources and upgrade that way:

Tinker OS buster:
Added Slash TV android OS into list of images

Slash TV android!v0A2wIjQ!srUj1dVjj3uxq6-yfly02w

This is set up to have more of an android TV feel to it, Sega Saturn is working, Dreamcast, psp, all the earlier emulators, Netflix, Kodi, Plex, and more
