So far, so good.

After Synaptic upgrade, Chromium is V63 with hardware acceleration. Netflix/Amazon still requires mods.

Does this release include the loopback device (snd-aloop) under ALSA?

I posted a note about this in the software forum here, but only very recently. I need the loopback to be compiled into the kernel in order to user the TB for audio processing. I assume that enabling it should be as easy as adding the compilation option for snd-aloop into the alsa commands when compiling...

I just downloaded the 2.0.4 release and did not find snd-aloop when I issued the command
sudo modprobe snd-aloop
So it looks like it has not yet made it into the image.

According to this post:
https://tinkerboarding.co.uk/forum/thread-825-post-3526.html#pid3526
it should be included in an upcoming release.

Do you get the same upgrades by doing an apt-get dist-upgrade?

There is a mayor bug in all releases: The display frequency detection and setting is working. There are several displays that are not working out of the box when connected to Tinker board. It seems as if there is a problem with the 59.999 Mhz setting. Tinker board should support UHD Displays but is not able to sync some lower resolution displays.

Please fix the bug. It is annoying and it is hard to convince new users to use this board if it is not working out of the box.

What displays do you have trouble with? I have a 1080 display that does ok.
